Ted Williams is arguably the greatest hitter in baseball history. The former Red Sox great also had a great second act as a military pilot and outdoorsman – a real life John Wayne of sorts. After his death in 2002, Williams’s remains were mysteriously put into cryostasis preservation, including removing his head in order to preserve the brain. A new short documentary by ESPN explores the strange choice made by Williams’s family to prolong their father’s legacy.
