The fight for natural grass at this summer’s women’s World Cup in Canada is reaching a boiling point. The short of it is Canada, and FIFA, want to use stadiums with artificial turf. Many players, notably the US women’s team, are adamantly opposed to artificial turf and want FIFA to install safer natural grass at all venues – a relatively minor expense. Former US Women’s National Team captain and ESPN correspondent Julie Foudy reports.
