Caver’s Paradise

A remote area of Southern China is home to one of the world’s great cave networks. Famous for its enormous chambers — some exceeding the size of football stadiums — explorers are have been busily mapping the caves with 3D laser scanners. Above ground, the area boasts a theater of jagged and towering rock sculptures – climber’s paradise. A nifty National Geographic interactive feature explores this spectacular place.
