We should be eating insects. High doses of protein and vitamins give insects exceptional nutritional value. Harvesting insects is also more sustainable than raising livestock and arguably more ethical. As it turns out, we already unknowingly eat tiny insects in peanut butter and vegetables. New insect-based foods are hitting the market like chips, energy bars and cricket flour – and there’s always the à la carte option.
