I backed a Kickstarter campaign that launched to help fund a documentary film about Lloyd Daniels. You can view the intriguing preview and read more about the background on the film maker’s site. The gist of the story is New York-born Daniels was a rare NBA prospect — a Magic Johnson-level talent — whose career was derailed by cocaine and actually getting shot. Daniels eventually made it to the NBA but who knows how much of his potential was lost. It’s a fascinating story and I’m looking forward to the film.
